Sharon Yvonne Stone is the sole child from Dorothy Lawson (an accountant) and Joseph William Stone II, who was a manufacturer of tool and dies, as well as a former employee in a manufacturing plant. She was born on the 10th of March, 1958, in Meadville Pennsylvania. Michael, Kelly and Patrick are three of her siblings. Stone started second grade when she was just five. Stone was said to be gifted in the academic area. She graduated from Saegertown High School, located in Saegertown, Pennsylvania, in 1975. A winner of Miss Crawford County, she also participated in Miss Pennsylvania. Miss Pennsylvania Beauty Pageant. Stone relocated with her aunt from New Jersey, where she pursued a career in modeling. In the following month, Stone signed up at the Ford Modeling Agency. In Europe she spent a full year in Milano and Paris. Stone, disillusioned at the fashion industry within Europe decided to take up acting in Europe. At the age of 20, she appeared in Woody Allen's "Stardust Memories" which received mixed reviews.
