Alison Krauss

Alison Krauss' first taste of fame as a fiddler came in 1990, when she was only 19 years old when she received the Grammy Award for Best Bluegrass Album. It was a feat of awe in many ways, not just because Krauss was young but also because I've Got That Old Feeling was the third album in her collection. Too Late to Cry was her debut album that was released at 16 years old. Champaign Illinois local's age, 16. Krauss had signed to Rounder Records, one of the top folk labels, when she was just fourteen. Her achievements so young and her incredible virtuosity has always been measured by her devotion to bluegrass. The oldest, and perhaps most underrated, of traditional American traditional forms of music. Krauss has now grown from a young teen star to a seasoned music producer and musician.
